Studied microbiology and biochemistry in Hamburg. Ph.D. thesis on molecular oncology at the Heinrich-Pette-Institute in Hamburg. Worked for almost 4 years in oncology projects at the University of Ulm. Since 2006 Managing Director of SIRION BIOTECH.
Dr. Jürgen Flach
Managing Director
Studied chemistry at the TU Darmstadt (THD) and made his Ph.D. thesis at the Inst.f.Organic Chemistry. After 2 years post doc at THD he joined Boehringer Mannheim Biochemica (BMB) as program manager “cell biology”. In 1983 he was promoted to head of S&M BMB Germany. 1997 he became General Manager of Roche Applied Science (RAS) for the US. Still based in the US 2004/5 he supported the RAS business in all Asia / Pacific countries. After 2006 retirement he is member of the board of the Biotech Faculty/ Uni Mannheim. After board membership of SIRION BIOTECH he is now CEO of Sirion since October 2009.
Dr. Christian Thirion
Managing Director
Studied chemistry in Munich. Ph.D. thesis on adenoviral vector technology and molecular myology. Since 2006 project and group leader of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University Munich. Since 2006 Managing Director of SIRION BIOTECH.
