Fields of Application

  • Optimal for non-dividing cells or cells with limited doubling capacity such as many Primary Cells
  • For studying knockdown-mediated gene function (KD stable for up to 10 days)
  • If target gene knockdown has adverse effects on cell growth and/or vitality

Service Comprises

  • Transduction of Your Cells with a validated adenoviral shRNA vector
  • Freezing of cells 48h after transduction
  • Quantification of gene knockdown by qRT-PCR and/or Western Blot relative to control cells
  • Control cells expressing a Non-Target (NT) shRNA are included

Application Example

Transient knockdown of CDK5 in HUVEC cells transduced with the Ad-U6-shRNA vector. Western Blot  showing CDK5 expression on days 4, 6 and 8 after transduction relative to NT-shRNA expressing control cells.
